Built 650
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to take over an already very successful business. This is a B&B with a tremendously successful bar and restaurant that is performing at a phenomenal level.
The theme for the building is America and this is evident all the way through. When you enter the building in the bar and restaurant area it has been tastefully decorated and set up to instantly make you feel welcome. There is a great sized bar area, perfectly set up for staff to be able to work effectively during busy sessions. There is seating for 100 people inside and a great area for DJ / Singer / Karaoke. There is a further seating area outside which has again been set up in line with the main bar area and this has seating for a further 100 people.
The bar and restaurant area are performing well with a great menu in place catering for different nationalities that currently use the services here.
The kitchen area has been equipped with all the best and latest equipment to ensure that it can easily cater for all the clients using the restaurant. There is everything in here that is required to run a successful kitchen, including 2 large walk in freezers and ample storage areas. At 16m long this provides a great working space.
The customer toilets are decorated to a high standard and situated in a great position that they do not interfere with the bar or restaurant area.
On the first level there are 8 great sized guest rooms, these again are all in the American theme and have various different sleeping options available. All the rooms have ensuite bathrooms, A/C, T.V and Tea/Coffee facilities. They are all fresh and bright and open out to a walkway where there is a smoking area. At the end of the block there is a lovely terrace area for anyone wanting to relax. The stairs to the rooms can be accessed either from the Bar area or through a separate entrance.
On the Second level there is the office area for the business and the owners Penthouse. This has been designed lovely with a lounge having all glass on one wall showing the beautiful views. There is a double bedroom and a bathroom with a shower and sunken bath. There is a beautiful roof top terrace with a hot tub and ample room for sunbathing or dining. The view from up here is one of great interest as you can see the Castle.
The business is fully licensed and all paperwork is ready for inspection.
Situated opposite the Train Station this is in an ideal place as clients can fly into Malaga, get the train to Alora and they are walking distance to the B&B. The positioning of this business is one that you do not find available very often. There is an hourly train service from Alora to Malaga.
The local council book rooms once per year for international students to stay and often request to book the bar/restaurant for functions. The restaurant has a great reputation and is used by locals, tourists and people from out of town frequently.
There are a number of opportunities that can be done here, the B&B could be run separately and the Bar/Restaurant rented out giving an additional income, alternatively it could be run as it is now as one complete business. This is a well developed and successful business and one that is turn key, the moment you sign you could trade immediately.
Reduced drastically for a quick sale this is an opportunity that can not be missed.

Alora:

The small town of Alora is situated 40 kms north of Málaga by the road to Antequera and just 12 km south of El Chorro. From a distance, it is a typical pueblo blanco; a whitewashed village nestled between three rocky spurs topped by the ruins of a magnificent castle which has an interesting history. Alora's castle was first built by the Phoenicians and subsequently expanded under Roman rule. In the 5th century the castle was virtually destroyed by the Visigoths, only to be rebuilt under the Moors; remnants of this era still remain, namely the decorative steel door and the traditional Arab mirador. n between 1587 and 1593 Alora was home to the fabled Cervantes and in 1628 Alora gained independence from Málaga. Alora is said to be the birthplace of Malagueño flamenco. A visit to the village, which consists of a series of very steep slopes and attractive cobbled streets, is well worthwhile. The whitewashed streets are lined with lemon trees and converge on a square on the lowest level, overlooked by a the impressive seventeenth century Church of La Encarnación which was built during the Catholic era of rule on the site of a former mosque.

From the square, climb to the castle on foot, or go by car, to the cemetery from where you can enjoy the splendid panorama of the Guadalhorce river basin. Among the tombs there is a small Gothic chapel. Monday is market day when the village becomes a lively mass of stallholders and shoppers. Alora's economy is based on agriculture, in particular the cultivation of tropical fruits, olives and grape vines. The cuisine of Alora uses the traditional Mediterranean ingredients of olives, almonds and citrus fruits.
There are some delicious local dishes, including sopa porota, based on a garlic broth with croutons and a revuelta of scrambled eggs with spring onions and vegetables.Castanets are just one of the hand-crafted items that are made in Alora and are one of the most typical instruments used for the traditional dance of the verdiales. Alora's main fiesta is the flamenco festival which is held annually in June. Another popular traditional event is the Romería de la Virgen de las Flores which takes place in the middle of September and is one of the best places to enjoy, first-hand, the traditional verdiales.

Camino Del Rey:

The Caminito is a narrow cliffside path hanging 100m above the waters of the river Guadalhorce. The path runs from the Embalse de Guadalhorce reservoir, through the famous El Chorro gorge, to El Chorro village (a major centre for rock-climbing, with a couple of rural hotels and a train station). The nearest town is Alora, to the south along the Guadalhorce river valley. The Caminito del Rey (King’s Little Path) is built onto the side of the limestone rock face, and passes through the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes (Gaitanes Gorge) also known as Garganta del Chorro (litteraly throat of Chorro) after the nearby village and offering spectacular, heart-stopping views down a sheer drop to the churning waters.
Originally built around 1905 and improved around 1921 it fell into disrepair and over the past decades, the path became known as ‘the most dangerous path in the world' or even the ‘walk of death'. Mountaineers from all over were attracted to risk the path in its pre-restoration state, after seeing videos such as the one on our video page.
The 'new' Caminito del Rey was re-constructed and reopened to the public on 28 March 2015, with the route and design of the path keeping as closely as possible to the old one. The famous boardwalk section is 2.9 km long and is constucted with a wooded slatted boardwalk and simple 1.2m-high three-wire guard rail. In places it is only one metre wide, hanging to the cliff face. The 'old' path can be seen just below. A highlight is the steel suspension bridge across the gorge, just next to the emblematic aquaduct bridge.

To reach (or leave) the Caminito del Rey you need to walk along an access paths at each end. At the Ardales (higher or north) end the access path is 2.7 km long, and at the Alhora (lower or south) end the access path is 2.1km long. The walk can now only be undertaken in a southerly direction and takes three to five hours depending on whether you are marching or taking it easy with plenty of photo stops. The railway station will be renamed El Chorro - Caminito del Rey. Malaga authorities hoped that the path would be visited by the great-grandson of King Alfonso XIII (the "Rey" of the path's name), the present King Felipe VI. There is still time.
The new Caminito del Rey path is proving to be a very popular tourist attraction, unique in Europe and has started to be called 'the scariest path in the world'.
The original declared plan to construct a permanent visitors centre at each access has been moved into 'Phase 2' works by the Diputacion de Malaga (as announced on 2nd Oct 2015 and again 4th April 2016). As part of the 2016 budget of 1.2m € a tunnel and a waterfall will be added. The tunnel will be constructed from the north exit point up to the bridge (making use of the original aqueduct tunnel) and including some view points. This initiative is to keep the path open to visitors during high winds. The other project is to reopen the original hydroelectric overflow spillway to recreate a spectacular 100m waterfall. Other projects are to improve access from the country roads in the area.
