Alora is lovely white Andalusian village with an Arabic castle, located 30 kilometres from Malaga with good direct access. The town has both primary and secondary schools, Sports centre, skate park, gymnasium, football stadium, many different restaurants both national and international as well as an ample selection of shops and supermarkets.
The yearly festivity is at the end of July, beginning of August. There is a lot of local entertainment, food, drinks, dancing and fair attractions. During the year there are also other traditional festivities not forgetting Christmas where chestnuts are roasted on the streets and the village is decorated with Christmas lights.
The area is very popular for biking, cycling, walking and horse riding.
Just on the outskirts of town is the train station where you can park and take the train into Malaga or to the historical town of Ronda through the fantastic countryside.
The famous Camino del Rey is only 30 minutes’ drive from the property, as well as the lovely lakes where you can enjoy a picnic, go out on the lake with a pedalo or enjoy a meal in one of the overlooking restaurants.
