The Hotel Cerro del Sol is a boutique hotel officially classified as a "charming rural hotel" with three stars (although it meets the requirements for all four), consisting of 15 en suite rooms. The hotel is located five minutes from the Alhambra and fifteen from Sierra Nevada, and has gardens, a swimming pool, and wonderful views. Commercially, the hotel benefits from its location close to the Alhambra (it has authorization to sell tickets) and the center of Granada but in a quiet place, from which there are excellent views and with ample free parking for guests (something very defendant given that most hotels in Granada do not offer parking and less free); Likewise, the proximity to the Sierra Nevada ski slopes (it also has authorization to sell ski passes) in winter (15 minutes from door to door), and issues related to adventure sports during spring and summer (hiking, horse riding , cycling and paragliding), without forgetting cultural tourism, tourism for specific groups such as people with disabilities (they are certified by ONCE Travel 2000 as an accessible establishment) or those who go to watch football matches (it is located 5 minutes from Los Cármenes stadium), and of course business tourism since it is just 5 minutes from the Granada Health Science Park. Finally, it also has agreements with the federation of mus (they usually reserve the hotel on some weekends), with the organizers of the cycling tour, with some religious entities and with various automotive companies that usually rent the entire hotel.

The hotel received an intensive remodeling in 2012, including complete painting, exterior renovations, change of televisions, creation of a beauty and chiro-massage area, change of the pool treatment plant to the current new regulations, improvement of the hotel's WiFi system and modification of the electrical installation to implement LEDs in all areas where possible. In 2021 it has been completely repainted.
